What exactly is the Strengths Leadership Journey?
It is a 3-part leadership transformation designed to help you and your core team lead with clarity, confidence, and alignment.
It begins with each leader understanding their unique strengths (Leadership Talent DNA), followed by a practical workshop on Strengths-Based Leadership, and ends with a Strong Teams session where your team learns to collaborate using complementary talents.
It is simple, structured, and immediately impactful. -
How will I and my team discover our unique talents?
You and your team will take the CliftonStrengths Full34 Assessment, Gallup’s world-leading psychometric tool used by millions of leaders across the world. The Full34 reveals your most natural patterns of excellence — your top talents, the order of all 34 themes, and how these influence the way you lead, decide, communicate, and collaborate. The Gallup reports give each leader a clear, research-backed understanding of their unique strengths profile, laying the foundation for deeper self-awareness and stronger team alignment.
-
What happens after I get my Full34 CliftonStrengths report?
Once you receive your Full34 results, you will have a personalised 90-minute Leadership Talent DNA session with me — a confidential, one-on-one conversation with a Gallup Certified Strengths Coach. In this session, we unpack your natural leadership patterns, understand the unique power of your dominant talents, explore potential blind spots, and clarify how your strengths influence your decisions, relationships, and role. This confidential session gives you deep clarity, language, and direction to lead more authentically and effectively.
-
Will my core team also need to take the Full34?
Yes, because the real transformation happens when the entire leadership team speaks the same strengths language. When every leader completes the Full34, the team gains shared clarity, transparency, and a deeper understanding of each other’s natural styles. This creates trust, reduces friction, and makes collaboration far more effective. It also ensures that each leader begins the journey on an equal foundation of self-awareness, which is essential for the Strong Teams work that follows.
-
What about our blind spots and weaknesses?
Strengths-Based Leadership does not ignore weaknesses — it helps you understand them without letting them define you. In your Leadership Talent DNA session, we identify the blind spots that come from overusing or underusing your natural talents, and we explore simple ways to regulate them. You also learn how to navigate your lesser talents with intelligence, not insecurity. The goal is not to become perfect, but to become aware — so your weaknesses no longer derail you, your decisions, or your team.
-
Will this help our Core Team work more effectively?
Yes. When every leader understands their strengths and those of their colleagues, the team begins to operate with far more trust, clarity, and collaboration. You will see fewer misunderstandings, quicker decision-making, and more ownership because each person knows how to contribute at their best. Strengths-Based Leadership also reduces friction, as leaders learn how to complement one another instead of competing or working in silos. The result is a more aligned, energised, and high-performing Core Team.
-
Can each of the core team members do this for the teams that we manage directly?
Yes. That’s one of the biggest advantages of this journey. When your Core Team learns the strengths-based approach, each leader becomes equipped to coach, develop, and engage the teams they manage directly. They learn how to recognise talent, have strengths-based conversations, set clearer expectations, and build trust within their own departments. This creates a ripple effect across the organisation — where every team begins to operate with more clarity, ownership, and collaboration.
-
Can I have my mission-critical R&D team take the assessment and undergo the Discover Your Strengths workshop?
Absolutely. In fact, R&D teams benefit enormously from the strengths approach. When your R&D leaders and specialists take the Full34 assessment and experience the Discover Your Strengths workshop, they gain clarity on their natural thinking patterns, problem-solving styles, and creative drivers. This improves collaboration, reduces friction in high-pressure projects, and helps them work with more focus and flow. The workshop also strengthens cross-functional coordination, making your mission-critical R&D team more innovative, aligned, and effective.
-
Will my B2B Key Accounts Sales Team benefit from this?
Absolutely — in fact, B2B Key Account teams often see the fastest impact. Strengths help your salespeople understand their natural style of building relationships, influencing clients, handling objections, and managing long sales cycles. They learn how to use their dominant talents to create deeper client partnerships, identify new opportunities, and communicate with more confidence and authenticity. It also reduces internal friction, improves cross-functional coordination, and helps KAMs collaborate better on complex accounts. A strengths-based sales team performs with more clarity, consistency, and impact.
